How a single truck in a Cherry Hill garage became South Jersey’s most trusted family-owned carpet cleaner.
In 1982, John Sr. bought a single truck-mounted extractor, parked it in a Cherry Hill garage, and started knocking on doors. Carpet cleaning wasn’t a new business in South Jersey — but the way he did it was different. Show up when you said you’d show up. Charge what you quoted. If something wasn’t right, come back the next day and fix it. Word traveled around the neighborhood, and one repeat
customer at a time, the route grew.
Forty years later, the trucks are bigger, the equipment is sharper, and we cover all of South Jersey instead of just Cherry Hill’s east end — but the playbook hasn’t changed. John Jr. runs the business today, with the family still hands-on across three generations. The kid who used to ride along on Saturdays helping carry hoses now runs the schedule. The customers John Sr. signed in ’83 are still calling — and now their grown kids are calling too, asking for the same service for their first homes.
